Doctor and Cat at HOPE Animal Foundation

Before your pet’s surgery, don’t forget…

  • Adult pets must not have food after 12:00am the night before surgery (water is ok). Puppies and kittens 4 months of age and under may eat regularly, no changes needed

After your pet’s surgery, remember…

Keep your pet from running, jumping, playing, swimming, etc. for at least two weeks.

If your pet begins to lick, bite, or chew at their incision site you MUST
put an e-collar (“cone of shame”) on your pet or he/she could re-open the incision site.  Male cats do not need the cone.

We will re-check your pet for $15 if you think there might be an issue from surgery.

Rechecks appointments can be made on our website or you can walk-in Monday – Thursday 10:00am -12:00pm, 1:00pm – 4:00pm.

Post operative instructions are sent with your confirmation email, but it can also be found here.
